This lovely vintage postcard was mailed from Ft. Lauderdale in February 1966 using a grey four cent Lincoln log cabin stamp (like this one here) to Mr. & Mrs. David Hilton & Family, Beacon St. Framingham Mass. It reads:

Hi folks:
This is where we’re staying here in Ft. Lauderdale. Had a nice trip – it’s been rainy but warm. Getting a nice change. Will be back Mar. 4.

Good news, friends. The building still stands, and it’s now a Budget Inn (Google Street View):

The bad news is that it doesn’t get very good reviews. On Yelp!…bedbugs. Gross!
