Mrs. A.C. Cotton
Whoa. To be honest, I’m not sure where to start with the message. This is currently the residence located at 1757 NE 50th Street, Pompano Beach, according to Google Street:
I have no idea what it has to do with Doumar’s, the Price is Right, or Mrs. A.C. Cotton. The house was built in 1955. It could use a little help from one of those landscape design tv shows, I think.
Doumar’s is long gone, replaced with a regular old chain motel. You would think, with a building that fantastic, there would be tons of conversations about it online. How long did it last? How was the food? Were they incredibly busy, catering to both locals and tourists?
Next week is National Postcard Week. I’ve got a plan for it, including some surprises for my friends and family. I tried to chat with the girl at the local post office about the celebration this morning, but she was unaware that such a thing existed. To her knowledge, there are no special cancellations for National Postcard Week 2013. Stay tuned for Monday’s post. Later this week, I should have updates on the progress of spring in the gardens, and the dog bait bag sewing project.
