Today we have sunshine. And cats, enjoying sunshine. March 14, 2011 = 70 degrees. March 14, 2012 = 80 degrees. March 14, 2013 = 35 degrees. More snow predicted for tomorrow. We’re not predicted to hit 50 degrees again until March 31.

The first 14 days of March, 12 have been below the average historical temperatures in Battle Creek. For the rest of the month, all but three days are predicted to be below the historical average. The 2013 Almanac predicted much colder temperatures this winter in our area, which seems to be holding true. The first day of spring is less than a week away. Daylight savings time hit, and it’s now dark until after I’m at work in the morning. It does not make me happy. It does not make me feel like exercising or doing yoga. You would think that it would make me sleepy, but I’ve been having some difficulty with that lately.
Things that I’m tired of hearing about on NPR: the pope, the federal budget, the sequester, republicans.
Things that I can never get enough of: videos of sloths.
