This lovely vintage postcard was mailed using a blue five cent Washington stamp on January 30, 1969 to M/M. George Gibbons, 141 Grove St., Wilkes-Barre, PA. 18702. The message is inexplicably written upside down:

Hi!
70° this morning. Spent yesterday with Flora & Madge. Saw lots more. Eating lots, sunburned. Having fun while I see on TV you have ice. This is the life. Wish you could be here with Flora. See you in Feb.

So, a little digging. Delores Maxine “Kitty” Smith and Ernest A. Smith were owners/operators of the Rancho Grande for nine years at some point. He passed away in 2000 and she passed away in 2011 (obit here).
Guess what, friends? I’m pretty sure I have it…now the Royal Palms Motel at 627 SW Federal Highway. And it’s still in business. Check it out!
