This lovely card, postally unused, has the AAA logo and Superior four leaf clover seal on it (from Wikipedia: The¬†four-leaf clover¬†logo of a “Superior Courts United” appeared in 1950 with the slogan “Travel Superior Courts United Inc. And Be Sure!” From 1964 onwards, the branding “A Superior Motel” appears on signage and directories. From a peak of over 500 motels (mostly on the Atlantic coast) in the mid-1960s, the referral chain declined to 44 properties in the 1970s, and membership renewals ultimately ended in 1979.)

This location is now a Budget Inn.

Hi there, I was searching for an old motel I used to stay in in Ft. Lauderdale when I was just a kid (round 1985 -90.)
I think it was called the Sands Motel and it used to be just around the corner from a Covenant House in Ft. Lauderdale. I dont know if anyone here might remember a U-Shaped Motel owned by an Ontarian lady named Phyllis that was near a Covenant House and a Howard Johnsons off of A1A?
My Dad had a stroke last year and he seems to think I have the name right (The Sands.) But he is as far from reliable when it comes to remembering things as one can get.
Gotta love pestering strangers with long shot blurry memories eh?

I do have a couple of postcards from the Sandcastle here on the website (just use the search tool in the right column). It sounds like it might match your description.
Let me know if it does!
