Saturday was the Humane Hullabaloo (benefiting the shelter) at Binder Park Zoo. Part of the day was demonstrations. My cousin Heather (right) and her friend Laura Maulbetsch came and demonstrated dog agility and duck herding. Heather is one of the most awesome people I know. She did such an amazing job…I can’t believe how talented she is, or that she’s related to me.
She’s going to be moving closer to Battle Creek in the fall. Hopefully that means I’ll get to see her more. She really did the best job on the demonstrations – clearly the highlight of the entire day.
This is Adele. She holds my heart in her tiny paws. I was unlocking the shelter at 6:45am a few weeks back, and heard a terrible yowling. Across the parking lot under the agency car was this tiny thing, soaking wet, starving and YELLING at me. I got on my hands and knees and she came right out and demanded to be picked up. She loves to cuddle and is just the sweetest thing ever. I don’t know what it is about her, but I’m smitten.
They have nearly completed the renovation on Tibbits. The two people who it would have meant the most to…Aunt Muriel and Grandma…aren’t here to see it. Can’t believe it’s been two years since Grandma has been gone.
