Listening

I was chatting at the golf event last Friday about podcasts. The Outback can connect my iPhone wireless and I’ve taken to spending most of my time in the car listening to podcasts. On my list? Splendid Table (going to be looking up that dandelion petal sorbet recipe!), This American Life, Fresh Air, Alt.Latino and The Moth.

Watching

One of the problems about listening and loving podcasts is that I want to talk about them. But if no one else listens, the story becomes long and/or boring for those who are trapped with me. This American Life did a bit about The Beaver Trilogy which is labeled a documentary film. You can read the basics at that wiki link. The first part is available on youtube and it is strangely compelling. I’ve got it embedded at the bottom of this post, for your convenience.

Inspiration

My sister has been sewing some really awesome summer tops, and it’s inspired me to try one or two myself. It’s been a long time since I’ve sewn an article of clothing. It’s been a long time since I’ve sewn anything. I probably have another five days on completing the lap blanket for the girl who loves purple.

Upcoming

Later this week we’ll have a postcard from the Yonders Motel and possibly a completed crochet project post. I’ve got one evening meeting planning the fall event for the shelter. It’s going to be a great week…make it so!
