Mom got me the book Sewing in a Straight Line by Brett Bara. It’s excellent! I made the first skirt in the book already. I plan on wearing it to work this week, in coordination with my resolution to try a little harder to dress better for work. I’ll take a photo of it while I’m wearing it. Although I measured like four times, I still find the waist a little loose. I also cut the fabric wrong; next time I’ll know what to do.

Kirsten got me a purse pattern, and I picked up fabric to make one for myself.

I’ve made decent progress on it, and hope to finish it up this week.

After that, I should probably get back to the wrap dress (second incarnation of the purple horror) as I’ve got the fabric and have made some alterations to the pattern.
