I took a long, tedious walk down the road with Google Street View, and found this…I think it’s a match:
I think they’ve cut extra doors on the bump-out angles, but the window placement is pretty much the same. Each of the small units has been cut into tiny office spaces – nail salons, a taxi service, etc.
I also tried to find a match for the Glades Restaurant, and although there are some matchbooks online noting the owners (the Toulis family), there’s no address and no current match. Mr. Ira T Blair passed away in 1966; earlier versions of this card have Mr and Mrs listed, so these cards are likely post-1966.
If you’re not familiar with the Clewiston area, the town is on the shores of Lake Okeechobee, just west of West Palm Beach on the Atlantic Ocean side of the state. Clewiston is known for sugar, and it is America’s Sweetest Town.
