Resort Tahiit Motel [misspelling on card]
7411 Atlantic Avenue
Wildwood Crest, N.J. 08260
Waving palm trees, bamboo, tonga cloth and lava rock bring exotic Polynesian atmosphere to Wildwood Crest at colorful Tahiti Motel, just steps from the beach. Here you will find motel rooms and two-room efficiency apartments with air conditioning or heat, TV, Hi-Fi, off street parking, daily maid service, free ice, two pools and Wildwood’s famous wide, white sandy beach with lifeguard protection.

This is an interesting card. I think the white Corvair is a 1962 or 1963 model (I can’t identify the other cars). Tiki culture would put this mid-century motel in the early 1960s. The note of two-room efficiencies probably puts this postcard, dated 1970, later in its existence or is a reprint of an earlier photo.
Aladdin Color is now running an online website with “retro stock photos” and has a 1965 image of the Tahiti at night here. There are also some photos here.
It looks like the motel was demolished in 2004, even after being listed in the Wildwoods Historic Register.
