This lovely vintage postcard was mailed using a four cent purple Lincoln stamp from Marathon January 19, 1960. It was sent to Mr. Dieter Kattermann, 5716 N 44th, Tacoma, Wash. It reads:

Taking it easy for a few weeks. It’s beautiful here nice and hot. Hope the family is feeling better now.

A listing for the Coconut Grove in Marathon gave us the address of 4900 Overseas Highway which was most recently listed as the Crystal Bay Resort & Marina (now closed). This article, posted in September 2015, speaks a little more about the redevelopment of the old place. It lists 30 cottages on the location which will all be demolished.

I did find listings for August and Anne Kattermann in New Jersey.
